TAG - A Short Animated Sequence

These are a few style frames for a short animation I'm working on titled TAG.

The vehicles are stylised 1955 BMW Isetta 300s and they are involved in a typical chase scene... or are they?

This has been an exercise to produce a complete 3D animated project - from concept to final composite. The emphasis has been on an animated sequence rather than a fleshed out storyline.

The final animation will hopefully be featured before the end of this year.

1955 BMW Isetta 300

A stylised version of an iconic car.

Modelling, lighting and rendering done in Softimage. Textures created in Photoshop.Ciao!

A brief history of the Isetta:

"The Isetta is an Italian designed microcar built under licence in a number of different countries, including Spain, Belgium, France, Brazil, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Because of its egg shape and bubble-like windows, it became know as a bubble car, a name later given to other similar vehicles.

The BMW Isetta was in 1955 the world's first mass-produced 3-Litres/100km car. It was the top selling single cylinder car in the world, with 161 728 units sold."

TedxCapeTown #ShoOops!

I was asked by my friend John McInroy to design an image based on a dream he had.

John recently spoke at TedxCapeTown and this was the introduction to his talk.

"John follows his dreams and brings an infectious energy packaged in a single word... ShoOops!

Where ever you go, go with your heart."

This word ShoOops is linked with the Red Sock Friday movement which is dedicated to making a difference, being passionate, inspiring others and being inspired. Check out the link to read more about this infectious energy. ShoOops!
