I was influenced by the designs of drag racers - exposed engine, custom body work and

different size tires.

Using Substance Painter for the first time - really cool powerful package.

Modeled in Softimage and 3DS Max, rendering using VRay.

Textures created in Substance Painter, and composite done in Adobe Photoshop.

1959 Jaguar MK2

A stylized version of a Jaguar mk2. I was inspired by the stylized Isetta I created a little while back. Modelling, lighting and rendering done in Adobe Softimage. Textures created in Adobe Photoshop. Also playing around with some atmospheric smoke.

These illustrations are inspired by classic poster art.

I based my designs off some photographs my wife took.

TAG - A Short Animated Sequence

These are a few style frames for a short animation I'm working on titled TAG.

The vehicles are stylised 1955 BMW Isetta 300s and they are involved in a typical chase scene... or are they?

This has been an exercise to produce a complete 3D animated project - from concept to final composite. The emphasis has been on an animated sequence rather than a fleshed out storyline.

The final animation will hopefully be featured before the end of this year.

A brief history of the Isetta:

"The Isetta is an Italian designed microcar built under licence in a number of different countries, including Spain, Belgium, France, Brazil, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Because of its egg shape and bubble-like windows, it became know as a bubble car, a name later given to other similar vehicles.

The BMW Isetta was in 1955 the world's first mass-produced 3-Litres/100km car. It was the top selling single cylinder car in the world, with 161 728 units sold."
