The Original - 1955 BMW Isetta 300

I started off modeling the original BMW Isetta from a blueprint and photographic reference, and once I completed the vehicle I reworked the shape and proportions to make a stylized or caricature version of it.

1969 Camaro SS 350

A stylized 1969 Camaro SS 350.
I was influenced by the designs of drag racers - exposed engine, custom body work and
different size tires.

Using Substance Painter for the first time - really cool powerful package.
Modeled in Softimage and 3DS Max, rendering using VRay.
Textures created in Substance Painter, and composite done in Adobe Photoshop.

These illustrations are inspired by classic poster art.
I based my designs off some photographs my wife took.

TAG

https://vimeo.com/86878157

Eventually found some audio to put to the visuals.

This has been an exercise to produce a complete 3D animated project - from concept to final composite. The emphasis has been on an animated sequence rather than a fleshed out storyline.

TAG - A Short Animated Sequence

These are a few style frames for a short animation I'm working on titled TAG.
The vehicles are stylised 1955 BMW Isetta 300s and they are involved in a typical chase scene... or are they?

The final animation will hopefully be featured before the end of this year.

1955 BMW Isetta 300

A stylised version of an iconic car.
Modelling, lighting and rendering done in Softimage. Textures created in Photoshop.Ciao!
"The Isetta is an Italian designed microcar built under licence in a number of different countries, including Spain, Belgium, France, Brazil, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Because of its egg shape and bubble-like windows, it became know as a bubble car, a name later given to other similar vehicles.
The BMW Isetta was in 1955 the world's first mass-produced 3-Litres/100km car. It was the top selling single cylinder car in the world, with 161 728 units sold."

"Making of" Article

I'm very excited about being asked to put together a "Making Of" article for the 3dtotal website. This was for the 1964 Peugeot 404 model I submitted to their gallery.

1967 Vespa 90

This is my latest model I've done. All modeling, lighting and rendering was done in Softimage. I created the textures in Photoshop
