This has been one of the few times that I've filmed myself for an acting piece and I really should do it more often. It's been such a great guide for posing, acting subtleties, general pace and timing.
This is an animation study I did using the Wolfdog rig
The first animation was mostly a mechanical exercise with the wolf transitioning from a trot to a walk and back to a trot. It's a subtle change of speed and gait, but a valuable study. Another aspect was to have the character travel in an arc (just adding more complexity to the shot).
The second animation was exploring some character traits of a dog. I had a lot of fun with this one and I felt like I managed to capture some of the subtle head positions and body poses which add appeal and believability.
I started off modeling the original BMW Isetta from a blueprint and photographic reference, and once I completed the vehicle I reworked the shape and proportions to make a stylized or caricature version of it.
